Our Editors

Lynn Vannucci's first novel, Coyote, was published by Bantam New Fiction in 1987. She has since written a weekly newspaper column, non-fiction articles for various sailing lifestyle publications, romance fiction (under a pen name), and been included in an anthology of Italian-American women writers, The Voices We Carry.

     Lynn has been a guest lecturer at Lock Haven University and Penn Tech (Penn State University), and written and produced licensing, home instructional and documentary videos for various clients such as DC Comics and Marvel Comics, and adapted Barbara Woodhouse's book No Bad Dogs for video. She has lived in New York City, on a sailboat in Annapolis, Maryland, and in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania where she co-owned and operated a fine dining restaurant, Rocky Point Lodge, for five years. She currently divides her time between Northern California and New York City.

     In addition to her involvement in co-creating Albbara's editorial website, Lynn has recently edited fiction (Getting Old is Murder, Bantam, 2005) and non-fiction (The Spirituality of Infertility: The Miracle of Luke, Providence Press, 2006) for private clients. Most recently she has coauthored the memoir of Dell Williams, veteran feminist and founder of Eve's Garden, the first woman-owned and -operated erotica boutique (released July 2005). She is currently co-authoring, with Dr. Alice Ladas, (author of the bestseller, The G Spot) a book titled Beyond the G Spot.

Lynn Vannucci

Using 30 years of writing, editing, marketing communications and publishing experience, Mary Frances Moehlman evaluates and edits manuscripts and proposals to help serious writers get where they want to go. Her first book, By Our Fruits You Will Know Us, was published simultaneously in Moscow (in Russian) and in Philadelphia (Wordworks, 1991). She oversaw the translation of John Woolman’s Journal (Moscow 1993). Prior to that, she edited Dr. Melvin Heller’s book on the effects of television violence on children (Editorial Standards and Practices, ABC Television, 1978). She has written and edited magazine articles and interviews as well as newsletters, business plans, grant applications, and research proposals for businesses, medical schools and hospitals and other non-profits.

Mary Frances was acquisitions editor and publications manager for Friends General Conference and was a co-founder of Quakers United in Publishing, an international cooperative of Quaker publishers. Most recently she was editor and type designer for the limited edition handcrafted artist’s book of excerpts, monologues and reflections from theater makers by artist and writer Leslie Linnebur (40 Years - Infinite Views, Trillium Press and The Intersection for the Arts, June 2005).

By combining editing with unique skills as a personal coach, Mary Frances collaborates with clients to craft the writing and projects they want and to sort out blocks that are holding them back.

Mary Frances teaches Creative Writing to high school students. She is also a poet and children’s writer and recently completed a manuscript for a Christmas picture book. Currently Mary Frances is writing a young adult novel as well as editing and ghostwriting for her clients.
